375 AD gold barbaric solidus

About 21 mm diameter, 4.10 grams gross weight( usual Roman standard of about 4.45 grams) Obv: laureate and draped bust of Constantius II in very passable style. Lettering style slightly off. Of uncertain origins, these things are usually found on the frontiers of the old Roman empire, possibly of Germanic, Dacian or Sarmatian origins.

Rukn al-Dawla was the sultan of the Buwyid dynasty ruling in Iran and Iraq. This gold dinar was struck at the al-Muhammadiya mint.

AH 348, about 22 mm in diameter. The Saminid dynasty ruled in what is now Afghanistan. This was struck at the Herat mint.

1000 and 1 Arabian Nights tale. Harun Al-Rashid would find a virgin and after being with her kill her. One girl started to tell a story to save her life. Each night she would never end it so Harun would want to hear more the next night or 1000 and 1 nights. Abbasids held Iraq and Egypt also.
